15th AIMIA Best Student Project

iWiFi Bondi, has won the 15th Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) Best Student Project Award! The winners were announced at the awards ceremony on the 13th of March and walked away with a wonderful trophy, accolades and beaming-ear-to-ear smiles :)

This year, AIMIA received more entries than ever before, from which one hundred were short-listed across all the award categories. According to Paul McCarthy, Chair of Judging, "With fierce competition and a rigorous and independent judging process, only the most outstanding work is ever short-listed for an AIMIA award."

Telstra UCD Award

iWiFi bags Telstra UCD Award!
iWiFi won the first Telstra User Centered Design Award - Interface Design, for the Best Student Project in 2008.

Description:
This prize is awarded to a (group of) student(s) who, in the opinion of Telstra Customer Experience, shows outstanding performance in interface and interaction design on multimedia devices by building design solutions around user skills and needs, while also taking into account the needs of a professional business when offering such a solution. The prize is supposed to encourage and reward excellence in applied user centred design, with findings backed up by usability testing.

Value: $500 (per semester)

Eligibility:
* All students of core subjects of the course Interactive Multimedia at UTS;
* Work must have been produced as part of an assessment task for a core subject of the course Interactive Multimedia .
